Cheyenne (ex-PlayStation)

Designed by famed multi-hull architects Gino Morrelli and Pete Melvin in Newport Beach, California, Cheyenne is constructed entirely out of aerospace technology carbon fibre and was the first of a brand new class of 100 foot-plus, very large multi-hulls, designed to attack major ocean records. Brian Thompson was involved in the detailed requirements of the boat from its conception.

Qatar 2006 (ex-Maiden II and Club Med)

Originally launched in 2000 and sponsored by Club Med, Qatar 2006 is a 110 ft Gilles Ollier designed catamaran with a rich heritage of record-breaking. Skippered by Grant Dalton it won The Race in 2001 in 62 days. Reborn in 2002 as Maiden II it set a new 24-hour distance record (694 nautical miles) and set new marks for the Cowes - St Malo and the Round Great Britain & Ireland records. Internationally acclaimed British multihull sailor Brian Thompson will be the skipper for Qatar 2006 in the Oryx Quest 2005.
